Perayaan HUT Kemerdekaan ke 79 di MIM Muhammadiyah Grecol berlangsung meriah dan penuh gelak tawa. Sejak dini hari, para siswa, pendidik, dan penyelenggara berkumpul di halaman sekolah untuk mengikuti berbagai perlombaan yang direncanakan. Meski di bawah terik matahari, tekad para peserta tetap kuat.
Permainan tradisional seperti lari estafet kaca, baseball carry, lomba bebek, jalan kardus, makan dorong kaca, dan panjat pinang menjadi puncak acara hari itu.
Anak-anak begitu antusias mengikuti setiap acara. Sorakan penonton menambah semangat kemeriahan. Ekspresi gembira terlihat di wajah seluruh peserta, baik yang berhasil meraih kemenangan maupun yang menghadapi tantangan.
Para guru dan penyelenggara juga turut serta dalam kemeriahan tersebut, menunjukkan antusiasme anak muda yang sesuai dengan antusiasme para siswa. Hal ini memupuk ikatan yang lebih kuat di antara komunitas sekolah.
“Saya sangat menikmati kompetisi tanggal 17 Agustus ini. Berkompetisi bersama teman dan guru membuat saya senang,” ungkap Nadia, salah satu peserta.
Sementara itu, Bapak Rudy dan Bapak Fathur menyampaikan apresiasinya atas suksesnya acara tersebut. “Kami berharap kompetisi ini dapat menumbuhkan rasa nasionalisme dan persatuan di kalangan siswa. Selain itu, ini juga merupakan kesempatan yang baik untuk mempererat tali silaturahmi antar civitas sekolah,” tandasnya.
Saat acara berakhir, seluruh peserta berkumpul untuk berfoto bersama, dengan senyuman terpancar di wajah mereka, mencerminkan ekspresi mereka.
A lively atmosphere and full of laughter colored the celebration of the Xth Independence Day at MIM Muhammadiyah Grecol. Since morning, all students, teachers, and organizers have gathered on the school field to participate in various competitions that have been prepared. Despite the scorching sun, the fighting spirit of the participants never died.
Traditional competitions such as glass relay, carrying a baseball, ducking race, walking with cardboard, eating push glass, and climbing betel nut became the main attraction.
The children were so enthusiastic about each race. The shouts of the audience added to the festive atmosphere. Cheerful faces radiated from every participant, both those who succeeded and those who were unlucky.
Not only the children, the teachers and organizers also participated in the competition. They showed a youthful spirit that was not inferior to the students. This further strengthened the relationship between fellow school members.
“This August 17 competition is very fun. I’m happy to be able to compete with my friends and teachers,” said Nadia, one of the participants.
Meanwhile, Mr. Rudy and Mr. Fathur expressed their gratitude for the success of this event. “We hope this competition can awaken the spirit of nationalism and unity among students. In addition, this event is also a place to strengthen the relationship between school members,” they said.
At the end of the event, all participants gathered for a group photo. Smiles radiated on their faces, making them look happy.
